• Thematic Book Lists - Books for holidays and seasons.
• The Holiday Zone - This site has lists of elementary level books for many holidays of the year.
• Recommended (December) Holiday Reading - For all grades from the Florida Department of Education.
• Mom, What's a Credit Default Swap? - Books for children in hard financial times. This is an article by Erica S. Perl in Slate magazine, October, 2008.
• Growing Up Around the World - Book lists for American children about growing up in other areas of the world. By the Association of Library Services for Children.
• A Book in Time - Historical fiction reading lists for the United States and for world history.
• United States Historical Fiction - for children. The list is compiled by the Tempe Public Library.
• Becomming American - Reading lists of fiction and non-fiction about immigration for children and young adults. By the American Library Association.
• More Than Meets the Eye - Books about haiku. This booklist by Angela Leeper contains both haiku collections and haiku related books.

• Read Up On It: Lisez Sur Le Sujet - Program by the National Library of Canada to promote children's reading. The site has lists of Canadian books in English and French
• Weapons of Mass Instruction - Anti-war books for young people. Lists books in English, Spanish and Japanese. There are also links to other anti-war book lists.

Multicultural Lists

• Barahona Center for the Study of Books in Spanish for Children and Adolescents - This site has searchable databases of books in Spanish, and books in English about Latinos.
• Selections from the Americus Book Awards for Children's and Young Adult Literature - Books portraying the life of Latin America, the Carribean, or of Latinos in the United States.
• Hispanic Heritage Month Recommended Reading List - for all grades from the Florida Department of Education.
• Spanish-English Bilingual Books - For all ages. This list is by Colorin Colorado.
